Today we headed out to Lake Powell and the Slot Canyons.
At Lake Powell Mary and Chloe went out onto the lake in rubber canoes with a group. We were a bit slow and the guide ended up towing us back (we could have made it on our own, just slowly). Paul's ribs were bothering him, so he did not go.
One of the drives had an overlook that gave us a great view of the Colorado River.
While waiting for our trip out to the slot canyons we were entertained by a young Native American performing some dancing (with a tiny bit of Michael Jackson moon walking).

The drive out to the Antelope Slot Canyon was mainly through sand.
There was quite a caravan of vehicles carrying lots of tourists.

Inside the canyon the sunlight made the red sandstone just glow. These slot canyons are pretty darned gorgeous.
